Honiton Sports Shop: message from the proprietor, Helen Newman

As your school uniform supplier I am writing to advise you of what we can offer parents and would appreciate

your feedback and any other suggestions you may have.

Options for parents buying school uniform

• Come into the shop. Social distancing will be in place. Use of the changing room will be restrictive.

• Book a private appointment. These will be available at the start and end of the day, and all day on

Sunday’s. We would ask wherever possible that just one parent and the child needing uniform attend.

• Order online – an e-commerce website will be up and running by early in July.

• Phone or email your requirements – which can be bagged up for you ready and available at the click and

collect part of the store.

We will be offering a longer time to return goods to encourage parents to buy early. Legal requirement is 28

days but we are willing to extend this to 40 days during the summer providing goods are in a resaleable

condition with tags attached and with a valid receipt.

We can still offer prepayment plans to help parents save for the uniform. £10 saved per week from now till

early August would mean they would have £100 to spend.

We will be unable to do the 10% uniform discount weekend as it will be too busy, so instead we are offering a

voucher system where if parents purchase a Honiton Sports voucher of any value of £40 by the end of June we

add 10% to the worth.
